“Bucket List” Plan of Attack

Don’t let your Bucket List sit dormant. How can we help you make and attack your list?

The Bucket List – that thing we all talk about, that list that some of us might even scribble down or type into our phones... One day, I will do X, Y & Z!

I want to help you turn those “one day” ideas into a reality. Do you want to travel abroad for the first time but it seems daunting? Do you have a list at all? Let’s get started.

Creating a Will & Advance Directive

Have you written your will yet? The best gifts are planned.

Creating a will: Have you done it? Do you dread it? Do you need a lawyer? Let’s take steps toward figuring that out together.

Advance Directive: Is having a DNR important to you, or do you want heroic measures taken? Have you considered either?

Life Review Recording & Legacy Projects

The gift of your recorded voice is cherished by your loved ones. Let’s sit together and talk; what do you need to say?

Imagine sitting down and recording a special message for the people you love, a message they can cherish and listen to time again to be reminded of your love for them. Or, we could sit together and I can ask you questions about who you are, and what is important to you. That’s a Life Review Recording.

Maybe you have boxes of photographs and memories that you’d like help sorting through in order to create special memory books for your loved one, or to display at your end of life celebration. We could also work together to write messages, and create special photo collections to include in keepsake envelopes for each person.

Vigil Planning & Organizing

Let’s talk about your vigil or ceremonial plans. Are there certain songs you want played? Will it be a religious ceremony?

Sometimes when the end of life nears, scheduling the number of visitors who want to come and show their love, respect and share final goodbyes becomes a large task to manage. I would be honored to become your end of life project manager. The end of life process is a time where you and your loved ones will have a lot on your plate. What better time to ask for some help?

Sitting Vigil

It’s never too early to plan support for your family upon your death. I would be honored to sit vigil for you.

Many issues of care are woven into the end of life process. This transition will require those who are caring for you to work closely with in-home nurses or hospice care professionals in order to keep you comfortable. It’ll be of utmost importance to manage your pain medications, and to maintain a peaceful environment. Perhaps you might desire to bring in a music therapist to play harp, guitar, or sing your favorite songs. Your spiritual or religious rites are also important at this time. If your desire is to make sure you have someone by your side as you begin to transition, I would be honored to help be a part of that support for you or your loved one.

Natural Burial Education & Assistance

Did you know traditional burials use large amount of land & concrete, and release harmful toxins into the air? More options are available to you.

The current system of interment in a casket is by no means environmentally friendly. Tons of concrete and reinforcing rod are used each year in order to make sure the dirt and grass around the area stay level. Why? So that the cemetery is assured easy mowing of their lawns. Crazy, right?

Cremation is surprisingly not much better. Each cremation requires 28 gallons of fuel, and releases about 540 lb of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Formaldehyde and mercury from dental fillings are released as well.

Of course, I support whatever scenario you choose! I only have to ask:

Have you considered a natural burial?

Have you heard of alkaline hydrolysis?

Would you like to learn more about those options?
